Shannon & Brian // Darlington House Wedding La Jolla

What do you get when you mix a super cute couple, lots of happy tears, loving families, a dance off between a flower girl and a full grown man, 40 gorgeous firefighters, and an open bar?  The Ciuchta wedding!  Aw, I had so much fun.  Shannon, for the record, I think your new name is fantastic. This is one of my favorites.

Best dance off ever!!  Seriously.  It was hysterical.  She showed him up.

What a party!!  Thanks again for including me, I absolutely loved being a part of your day.  Congratulations.  :)

Kasey & Mike Wedding {part one} // San Diego Wedding Photography

Kasey & Mike's wedding will hit the blog in two parts.  Today, I am featuring the first half of their day, the traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony.  I had been wanting to photograph a Tea Ceremony for quite some time, I was thrilled to learn they were planning on it. The "Double Happiness" emblem, which was part of their wedding logo, was used to decorate her father's suite where the first Tea Ceremony was performed.

Kasey purchased her gown from Hong Kong.  Oh my gosh, I couldn't stop taking pictures of it.  It was amazing, and she was stunning in it.

I was in for quite a surprise when all the festivities began.  I usually always cry at weddings but for this portion, I was crying solely because I was laughing so hard.  Before Mike could see Kasey, he and his groomsmen had to complete a series of dares created by the bridesmaids.  They may or may not have had to dance, wear make up, play suck & blow, and eat hanging twinkies.  I held back on posting some images so these men can maintain some of their manhood.  :)

Lastly, Kasey listened while Mike read a list of promises to her, written by the bridesmaids of course.  After his final dare, he was finally able to see her.

Then they were able to serve tea to all sets of parents/relatives as a way of saying thank you for being in their lives and supporting them...getting them to this day.  It was lovely.

I loved it.  <3

A special thank you goes out to David Manning Photographers for assisting!!  Part two of Mike & Kasey's wedding can be found HERE.
